Creative Practice.
My creative practice has allowed me to be involved in the research, planning, and delivery of art projects since 1999. These have included anything from 2 to 12 hours, with student numbers ranging from 2 to 200 and age groups between 8 and 18 years old. I have also worked with hard to reach and socially excluded young people.

Focusing on practical skills and participation and using a range of materials such as sculpture, drawing, and often more specifically, digital sound and video recording, I have been able to develop this work to investigate the therapeutic value of self-expression and creative process.

Examples of the film and animation workshops are represented below:

I have been a community artist since the Nineties. Following a period where I spent more time organising than delivering creative workshops, I moved into youth work around 2010. Rekindling my creative practice and taking it into a new direction, I began working as a street artist under the moniker of 'Abide', looking for mural commissions for myself and to share with some of the young people I worked with. Now, as a professional counsellor, I mix my own creative practice with workshops and projects for some of the more vulnerable young people in society. My own work now adorns walls all around Cambridgeshire and Suffolk, having completed independent commissions for both primary and secondary schools, doctor’s surgeries, gyms and tattoo studios. Below is a sample of my work.
